Robustagno is an innovative advisory method and mobile application designed to improve lamb survival in sheep farming. It structures key reproductive and lambing practices into a circular calendar with actionable steps. The tool helps farmers plan and organize tasks and receive notifications for critical actions. Developed by a multi‑actor partnership of sheep farmers, technicians, veterinarians and researchers, it supports better decision‑making to reduce lamb mortality.

  • Allows recording and tracking of up to six livestock lots to manage multiple groups simultaneously.
  • Sends notifications and alerts for key actions to improve timeliness and reduce oversight.
  • Includes technical resources such as detailed practice descriptions, photos, and videos.
  • Designed for use by both farmers and their technical advisors who perform initial diagnostics.

Lessons learned

This application has been developped based on the extensive knowledge generated by agricultural counsellors and farmers and allow to facilitate the daily managmeent of the farm and the agricultural advice.
