The project aims to analyze and promote steps for the transformation of professionals in the agricultural sector toward the use of ICT throughout the entire process of carrying out their activities.

Farm challenges

The project addresses the digital divide in rural areas, low digital skills among farmers, limited adoption of agri-tech solutions, and the need to ensure sustainable, competitive agriculture while tackling depopulation.

Innovative features of the initiative / solution

Its innovation lies in a territory-based, multi-actor digital transformation model that combines diagnosis, capacity building, mobile outreach (TIC-Truck), and close collaboration between farmers and local ICT companies.

Results obtanied

The initiative delivered a comprehensive digital maturity diagnosis of the agri-sector, increased digital skills and technology adoption among farmers, and strengthened local agri-tech ecosystems through training, advisory services, and pilot actions.

Lessons learned

The main lesson learned is that successful rural digital transformation requires hands-on support, trust-based engagement, and solutions adapted to the real capacities and needs of farmers, not just access to technology.
