IMPACT

Productivity

OPEN-DIGIVINE will be a collaborative open-data network for digitization and agroclimatic monitoring for pest prediction, minimization of phytosanitary use, and optimization of viticultural management.

Farm challenges

The project addresses key Farm to Fork challenges by enabling data-driven reduction of pesticides and fertilizers, climate-change adaptation in vineyards, and sustainable water and crop management through shared agroclimatic monitoring and predictive models.

Assistance / Boost program

Ayudas a Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras (AEI).

Innovative features of the initiative / solution

Creation of a collaborative open-data agroclimatic platform that integrates heterogeneous sensor networks, standardizes data, and applies advanced predictive models to support real-time, localized decision-making in viticulture.

Results obtanied

Validated open-data agroclimatic platform integrating multiple public and private sensor networks, generated high-quality shared datasets, and successfully tested localized disease prediction models that improve vineyard management while reducing inputs.

Lessons learned

Data interoperability and collaboration across stakeholders are critical to scale digital agriculture solutions, and that combining open data with field validation significantly improves trust, adoption, and effectiveness of predictive tools in viticulture.
